Can I safely use personalised address labels on my child’s belongings?
You love putting address labels on your items to identify them, but you’re a bit hesitant to have your child’s full name and address on all of his or her belongings. However, your child has a very long name and writing it over and over on all of those notebooks, toys and other belongings is getting old fast. Isn’t there a way to use personalised address labels for your child’s things that doesn’t endanger his or her safety?
Personalised means just that. With VistaPrint’s customization tools, you can type more than the suggested address information on each line of the address label. “This toy belongs to:” replaces “The Smith Family” on line one and your childs name takes the place of the address information on line two. If you would like to put a phone number on the label, you can easily fit this information on the third line. If not, you may want to use this line to add another gentle reminder to light-fingered friends, such as “please return.”
To further protect your child from predators, think about where you are applying the new custom address labels. For example, a label adhered to the inside of a backpack or the inside flap of a book cover can only be read by someone who has truly found a lost belonging, while labels on the outside of the items are too easy for people who are just walking past to read.
